In the age of Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, YouTube, Flickr, etc, etc. Keeping up with folks and there coming and goings is easier and yet still just as complicated. So this is our lil’digital space in the great cyber-plains. We intend to put our news, announcements, photos, videos, and just about anything else we can imagine. We also hope to use this site to engage family & friends, inform them of events or scheduled get togethers, and as our touchstone into the digital world.
Our story…
We met in the Summer of 2004 and while we didn’t end up together then both of us knew that the other was something special. We rekindled our relationship just about a year later in the Summer of 2005, we met and had plenty of good times together but neither of us would take the plunge to become romantically involved with each other til New Year’s Eve when I finally asked Kellie out, not to hang out but to go on a real romantic date. That was just the beginning cause over the next two years we had a wonderful time and our relationship grew into something much more serious.
On July 26th, 2008 we had taken a small overnight trip to Callaway Gardens to celebrate our ‘official’ anniversary. We came to a small bridge over a shallow stream next to a short waterfall. While Kellie snapped a picture of the waterfall I got down on my knee and asked Kellie Burns to be my wife, she accepted and we rode off in grins and tears already planning our lives together.
We were married as Mr. & Mrs. Templeman on June 28th, 2009 in Savannah, Ga. We’ve just begun our journey together but it already feels like this is where we should have always been!
Update March 2010…
Our journey is now a little further down the road with (about) a year of marriage under our belts and soon the new edition to our family, Ripley Carmine Templeman. Just seven months ago we found out we were expecting and then come December with some of our family present we learned we were having a baby girl. We are both excited and just can’t wait for her to get here! So our journey has come a little further but has also begun anew!
Update May 2010…
Well we’ve been busy settling the baby’s room and on the 13th of May she was born, and our lives have changed forever. Kellie’s Mom and Dad are visiting with us and are getting ready to move down here which will bring our families closer. Ripley has begun to change how we view the world and also test us in ways that I don’t believe either of us ever expected. She is our source of joy, anxiety, and hope all in one tiny little person. She’ll grow and we look forward to meeting her personality as it blooms from within.
