I’ve been sick since Tuesday (Dec 15th) with Bronchitis, that’s what the doctor says anyway it felt like the ‘living death’ so my week was pretty much a wash. My wife spent most of the week worrying over me and taking care of me as much as my grumpy disposition would allow anyway. Regardless of illness we still had quite a weekend…
Friday we did some last minute shopping for the nieces and nephews, then a last minute haircut for me, and then home to bed. I was just plain tuckered and feeling the drain of getting out and about even for just a bit.
Saturday we got up, wrapped gifts, filled out cards, and packed the car to head out to my Dad’s house for our Christmas gathering. I ate a plate of food, and hung out while we opened gifts. It was great to see everyone although I know I was a bump on the log! I made off with a MP Skywarp from my Dad which was a great surprise, although I think my expression was more “murrph” at the time. Sorry Pops.
Sunday we sat. Oh I sat so hard I though I’d out sit the sofa. The rest was well needed… the wife wanted some Chinese food so we ordered delivery and munched on it for most of the day. James & Masako dropped in and gave us a Domo calendar and some Masako baked goods for the holidays. It was a great treat to see some folks before the holidays and most unexpected to get some tasty treats!
Overall the weekend ended much better than the week, and with the inlaws coming into town it’ll only get better. And oh yea, only two days til we know what we’re having by the way! Keep ya posted.
